Madison Garraffo '24, a senior music education major at Hofstra, has been honored with the Collegiate Professional Achievement Award from the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). Additionally, Hofstra's undergraduate chapter of NAfME was selected as the recipient of the organization's Chapter of Excellence Award, in the category of service.

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Hofstra Chapter advanced its leadership and professional development by attending the Workshop for Student Chapter Leaders (WSCL) in Memphis, Tennessee. The conference, which brought together engineering students from across the country, helped participants enhance their skills in chapter management, professional development, and networking - all key components of a successful student organization.

Hofstra University's Cheer Team took home first place honors at the at the 2024 Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) and Universal Dance Association (UDA) College Nationals in Orlando, FL.

Hofstra mathematics faculty and students welcomed close to 200 peers from across the region and showed off research and presentation skills when they hosted the annual meeting of the Metropolitan New York Section of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA).

The Hofstra University Dance Team, competing as Team USA in the 2016 International World Dance Competition, won the Freestyle Pom world championship, competing against 18 other teams from around the globe, including Japan, Finland, Australia, China, Poland, Germany, Scotland, Mexico and Switzerland.
