Hofstra 2015 graduate Abigail Singley of North Bethesda, MD, is a recipient of the Albert I. DaSilva Memorial Endowed Scholarship for achieving a 4.0 G.P.A. while she earned a degree in accounting. The scholarship may be used toward her graduate studies or other academic pursuits.

Two senior Hofstra University bioengineering students, Nickolas Boroda from Massapequa, NY, and Pierre Llanos, from Oceanside, NY, have co-authored a paper published in the latest issue of Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering. To publish a study in a peer-reviewed journal as an undergraduate student is a rare and prestigious achievement.

The 2014 All-CAA first team selection then posted a goal and a career-high three assists in Hofstra's 7-2 rout of Colgate on Sunday. Hofstra returns to action this weekend with games against Maine on Friday, September 4, and 20th-ranked Boston University on Saturday, September 5 at the University of Maine.
