Sophomore Libero Sophia Black, a resident of Seattle, Washington, is a member of the 2014 Hofstra University Volleyball team.

Hofstra finished the 2013 season with a record of 17-15 and advanced to the semifinals of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship. The Pride features a roster that has 11 returning student-athletes along with four newcomers. The Hofstra Volleyball program has a rich history as the squad has made seven appearances in the NCAA Tournament, most recently in 2012. The team is under the direction of first-year coach Emily Mansur, who served as an assistant coach with the program in 2013.

The Hofstra Department of Athletics sponsors 17 intercollegiate athletic programs that compete at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the CAA.
