Jay Sakaria of East Meadow, NY, presented an original research project entitled "Natural Products As Signals Affecting Development Of Streptomyces Coelicolor" during Hofstra University's annual Undergraduate Research Day.

Sakaria is majoring in Biochemistry, and graduates in May 2014.

Undergraduate Research Day is a culmination of months of advanced study, preparation, and revision by the University's brightest minds, who present senior projects in subjects ranging from biology and drama to geology, film studies, and business.
